PAIN!

Sangita Ekka, May 11, 2019October 11, 2021

Some people are plastic they say; it is good in the least sense that they can melt when set on fire. The skin has turned so fair and thick that it feels no touch anymore and dusts off perceived filth. If only the heat of passion in the hearth of love could rule heart so much that courage were born when kindness needs it the most. Alas! the crown resides on the head! Painful!

Escaping you are, you tell me. Strong to follow your dreams; weak to oppose who dare challenge it! I stay back and fight for the next flight that may take me to you because you won’t bother returning! Painful!

I will build it I say, you trust me with your bricks. Now its raining and you are short of buckets below your roof! I failed you! Painful!

Far from me you are hungry and unsheltered. Yet I sleep under my blanket because I am torn between two worlds. I shall build you a better home, provide you better food but at the cost of what? My dreams? No. I am more willing to give you pain because an uncertainty is somehow more dear to me than an obvious present. Painful!

Craving for solitude even in love can bring peace. And you are not looking for peace. My peace is lost when I cannot make you be at peace. Painful!

Extraordinary life demands an extraordinary pain. Extraordinary pain demands an extraordinary will. An extraordinary will is forged in everyday deaths! Painful!

STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART

We grown ups have forgotten the fun that’s there in the spontaneity of the moments. Doing something silly because it needs to be done not because it would be appreciated. Wondering and wandering in the clouds that take up any shape we would have wanted. Everything mundane would have been a bliss. A colorful butterfly would have been the achievement of the day. Scrapped knees would have been a reason for tears. And an honest laugh when we would have fallen with a friend…
